Fo some reason everything with a "Read" tag on it is low on my ssd xD
it wasn't like that b4 but now it is, the ssd is like 4 months old now.

I should mention all of the things ya'll thinkin about
    -yes its on a 6gb/s sata3 port
-yes the ahci driver is up to date
-yes the firmware is up to date
-yes the driver is up to date
-yes the date is up to date
-and yes I'm not using rapid in these benches.
-and yes it does the high access time with rapid anyways
-and yes its 0.x ms we're talking about but i can still notice it
-and yes i clicked that maximum performance button
-and no i didn't have such high access time b4
-and no i haven't filled up the whole ssd, in fact there's 90GB free

ssd is great, as i've mentioned above, i have disabled all of the stuff that would confuse people, if i had rapid on you would see 3500mb read and 3000 write..
Anyways this ssd loads bf4 maps for ~19 seconds, measuring from the time when it starts to actually load the map(after the black screen with the white thing) And windows is pretty snappy with it, everything loads crazy fast.

I am seeing low reads in magician too, though as ssd is 500+, same with crystal disk mark, did you run those 2 benches?

Funny thang is i noticed the same thing, and i can actually explain to you how
this sh*t happens, i ran HWInfo64 and while running samsung's bench i was
looking at my speeds in hwinfo, made it refresh every 100ms, so while running
samsung's bench the speeds were like this through the whole bench.
    "250 250 350 500 350 250 250", and that shows the avg in the program 350 or
even lower, but on crystal disk mark if i make it read 4gb, in hwinfo it shows
it like this "511 511 498 511 511" and overall result is almost always 500+
as for AS SSD bench, that thing just wont go past 399mb/s, im watching it in
hw info even there it shows that its stuck at 399 idk wtf is wrong with that
anyways this doesn't explain why the access time is so high :\ it goes up to 0.400ms

Try running P95 and then do the bench.

Boot your computer with a live gnu/ linux medium, open a terminal and type this, assuming that /sda is your ssd.

    $ sudo hdparm -tT /sda

It should give an accurate speed test, but usually i run this command a few times , to compare the results.

You do not know what you are talking about when posting this issue. The mentioned/linked issue only happens on "old" data. Like files that are stored for some days/weeks on the SSD.
In a benchmark, the data with which the read speed is measured, is always "fresh"!

So that is NOT the problem here!

Can you please check if TRIM is "really" working:
    http://files.thecybershadow.net/trimcheck/
    trimcheck-0.7.exe
--> The exe must be executed from the drive you are about to test!

Also, please use Crystal Disk Info (latest portable) and post a Screeshot of the SMART values (expand the window so all data can be read).

    Thanks

Was having the same exact bench problems with mine until I enabled a bios option called "LakeTiny" and I now get 530/530+ every single time i test it. I think it has something to do with c-states so disable any power saving stuff to test it out

Edit- Or probably to do with that bug lol. Weird how that bios option fixed mine up tho

Hmmm I wasn't aware of this but then I only use my Samsung as a secondary drive with a handful of games installed on it.

It's quite clearly a problem since my Sandisk Extreme has a pretty standard performance line across the drive the Samsung is pretty bad with this current bug.

Hopefully they'll get the firmware out soon to fix this otherwise I might look into getting it replaced since what is the point in having an SSD if it can't get consistent speed over the drive?
