Well, I know i've touched base with this before, but I was under the incorrect assumption that my board was using the n750i instead of the 750a!
Turns out my board IS using the 750a, which is pci express x16 2.0 (both slots)
so I just want to confirm if on my board (with the 750a chipset) if 9800GX2's in quad sli would work, and if they would both run at x16 speeds when in sli?

    Thanks a bunch!

no they would run at 8x PCI-Express 2.0 no you would not see a difference in performance, and ofcourse your board is a 750a...750a = AMD. 750i = Intel :p

In terms of PCI-Express, both of those chipsets are the same thing
