Default Asus 660ti, 305.68, card is overboosting... - 08-20-2012, 20:21 | posts: 1

hi peeps

I got the 660ti OC where the overboost is default at 1058 mhz core. Now I have installed the 305.68 drivers from nvidia.com and the asus gpu tweak tool to monitor the temp etc.

Interestingly the gpu overboosts to 1200mhz. I also used the gpuz tool and the core mhz are right, it overboosts over the threshold and I dont know why. At the same time I oc'd it to 1100 mhz and now the overboost goes to 1252mhz.

I dont think that is normal, any one else has this? any idea what i can do?

thanks for the support

cheers

That is normal. Th advertised boost states the minimum that you will boost to.
