An example of Internet use: icanhaz.cheezburger (or LOLcats)

First page is reasonable, but then the pages become slow and jumpy as I try to scroll. ( I scroll, and the page pauses then scroll down further than the next pic)

I loaded the status thingy and every ping is a fail.
Looking at the pic above, I don't know where the address is used!
I have the onboard NIC then the modem/router (which I wish to replace).
One of these addresses is for the Comp to modem and the second (I presume) is for the modem to ISP.
Is this correct and which one is which?
    Also this modem is 12Mbps.
Did a test: latency 30ms. Jitter 1ms. Download 8 Mbps. Upload 0.71 Mbps.
Packet loss and firewall tests skipped. Probably to slow.

    I used cmd.exe
pinging 4.2.2.2 gave a good ping. no loss. 218ms.
    I tried pinging 192.162.0.1
It said Reply from 10.20..22.115 host unreachable.
"How to diagnose your Flaky Internet Connection" website says if this happens I am probably not connected to my router.
Okay, the modem part of the router obviously works, and TPG has got me using 192.168.1.1 so maybe some one can tell me what is wrong please

It's your browser, not the connection. Are u running Firefox? The latest build is lag city, I'm seeing up to 90% core load while scrolling.

Router IP's vary depending on the brand. Many use 192.168.0.1, 192.168.1.1 or 10.1.1.1.

Hey I noticed the bios screenies on photobucket.
Fwiw with a manual offset voltage you could drop the vcore, ASUS always set it too high in auto. And you'd find it a lot easier to overclock using the CPU multi instead of the bus.

CPU/NB seems good, 2600mhz could be an option too at 1.35v.

Put up some Digi+, CPU Settings, and Memory Timings pics if you want and I'll take a look.

    Yes! Firefox!
Okay. Will do. I'm not great on software so if I give you something wrong be sure to advise me. I do appreciate some help.

I was going to get that cheap modem but I might go for the D-Link brand. I like the setup stuff with 10.1.1.1

There is one pic. I think it allows you to see all my pics. I hope photobucket still has them in order.
    Thanks.

Many things can cause problems like that you`re having atm. Eliminate one by one by this order:

Call your ISP and check if they are having some kinds of problems.

Check if internet connection is working OK with some other computer, for example friends laptop.

Check integrated NIC, I saw few NIC`s acting weird for weeks before they totally stop functioning.

    It could be router also.

It could be OS problem, internet settings problem, browser settings...
