I updated my Z170M-PLUS m/board to - BIOS 3017 Beta - Silly me did not see it was a beta, and since then the only way to get my system to boot up is to turn off the power and take out cmos battery, put back it in. Asus does not let you step back to an older bios. I can cure it by leaving my system on 24/7 :bang:

Something similar to my Z170 from another maker. Good thing i could roll back the EFI to an earlier version.
not to worry, gonna send it back. Before this, it had a mind of its own, if it wanted to boot up first it would other times no! Also reset switch never worked. The next board will be my 3rd one! Asus *hit. Funny enough, looking round to solve this found a few others that had probs with the ASUS Z170 boards, all models!
