    What exactly crashes?

The game or the PC itself?

    what are your specs?

I get a sound loop crash on windows 7 X64 while recording or playing Bad company 2 and OMSI with FXAA injector / SMAA injector.

The issues Seem to have died down since I installed the update KB2488113 for my OS, Assuming you're on Windows 7 or Windows Vista, It may be beneficial for you to download and install that update

    Link Is here > http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2488113

Try that and see how it goes, Report back if you don't see an improvement.

After experimenting its actually the "on screen display" that causes the crash.

    It crashes to desktop.

Im actually running windows XP with Alan Wake.

Specs are Radeon 7970, Crosshair V mobo, FX 4100,

I dont think anything else specs is possibley relevant though

    Edit:

Turns out all monitoring done by MSI Afterburner will cause crash even if its not the onscreen display.
