My TV is the LG LM559600. It's supposed to be a 240hz TV so curious why I can only game in 30hz @ 1080p or 60hz @ 720p.

Is it because the 240hz is not a true reading?

It's not true 240hz, it just processing and they say that just for marketing stand point. The true hz of your TV is 1080p 60hz and it does 30hz because its 30 per eye. If you want 60hz per eye then you need a 120hz monitor for that. It's pretty much a trade off. Sadly they know people will fall for it so they use heavy marketing when they label the HDTV as 240hz, 150, i even seen it over 300 before. It just a processing chip doing fake 240hz.

I knew it... That sucks because that was one of my reasons for grabbing a passive 3DTV. My monitor is a 144hz monitor so I know it's Nvidia 3D capable but prefer sitting in front of a 55" instead of a 24" screen lol. Oh well.

    Thanks for the info though!

The best you can do on your TV is blu ray movies in 3D, or consoles. But yea its annoying when i see HDTV makers use misleading tactics to sell their hDTVs.

THat is not true i game at full 1080 p on my 55 inch sony 802a with this edid hack.

It does work and looks absolutely better than the standard nvidia 3dtv crap.

Also my tv has impulse mode which imitates crt's absolutely not motion blur what so ever in 3d or when im downsampling

This is by far epic especially in DCS world as the cockpits are almost life size and the immersion factor is epic.

The main issue with the work around that you posted is that it does not work for every HDTV. It might not even work for the op LG model if it does it might not work like it should. As I seen a few people who tried the work around and not have it do a good job. The op could try if he thinks it be worth it to see if it will work for him. I personally wouldn't bother trying as it seem like it not guarantee to work for every one.
