Reboot.
Run Atiman.
Reboot once that's finished.
If your resolution is still in native res, it means there's remnants of a driver left. Atiman that mofo again.
Reboot
If it's in 640x480, you're golden. Install your new drivers.
Thanks for the advice; I assume my graphics card is supported + it will work with "switchable graphics"?

I've had the first issue with these drivers and uninstalled. I got massive corruption in test drive unlimited 2 then when I came out of the game and loaded up another it was like the drivers were corrupted and I was getting artifacts in all other 3d games too. I uninstalled the drivers and went back to the official 12.4 download and all problems sold at the same and higher gfx core clocks. Weird!

Well the 6970m's are my first one and they suck horribly already. Couldn't get more issues with flickering & microstuttering. Bad Company 2, a console port, was the only game that ran issue-free - and that only when I disable ingame bloom.

No freaking support from AMD for Skyrim i. e. at all.

Performance is up slightly over 12.6 with these

Downside is playing a youtube video, then closing youtube video, my second monitor the display went ape**** and was flashing like mad, opening GPU-Z its cause the clocks were cycling like -CRAZY- and a reboot fixed it

EDIT: Got it again when going in and out of a youtube video after loading 7 of them, rebooted, I disabled flash hardware acceleration, now its working perfectly fine after 40+ video loads

I would think so, but don't take my word for it... hopefully asder00 comes across this post and answers better than I'm able to!

For what it's worth, guys, I'm not having any real problems at all with this driver. Other than the problem I mentioned in another thread re: Sonic/Sega All-Stars (where it seems to happen with a few drivers) these seem to be flawless. No problems with any video at all (though I *am* only using a single monitor).

5xxx series owners should feel safe with this one, even CFX users, if my experience is anything to go by

Yesterday i decided to try this driver and im pretty impressed so far. One time my system froze and i had to reboot (watching a stream on twitch tv) but other then that its working great. The difference in battlefield 3 is night and day. I finally get the feeling i get what i paid. Couse i was pretty dissapointed about the performance of my new 7870. I used to game on a 5670 so you can imagine i expected a huge improvement. This driver makes me happy

I know WEI is not a good benchmark but with a clean install of Windows 7 SP1 x64 and these drivers, my cards got a 6.0 WEI

I installed the 9.00 driver over the top and got the expected 7.5

To stop system freezes:

Uninstall the drivers, after you do it, reboot and clean the leftovers with Atiman Uninstaller (download the latest version) use the automatic mode, after its done reboot again!

Now reboot and install the drivers, 12.7...and reboot once more.

After you do it, download and install the application profiles from 12.6 beta (June 12) install with custom installation, only the profiles! and reboot, after that uninstall your browser, uninstall flash player, in your browser and youtube disable hardware acceleration and clean the LOS, delete all sites and websites.

Reboot once more and clean with Ccleaner, now you should be done!

Takes about 8 seconds for desktop to appear from a black screen after windows boot logo...never happened before *using intel 520 ssd drive.

Dunno why the new delay in booting up to desktop??
