Guru3D.com review: http://www.guru3d.com/article/samsung-i9300-galaxy-s-iii-review/ Phone comes out end of May, may as well get a thread up Looks very nice, i think if it had 2GB RAM and a 12MP camera it could have been perfect Still, lovely piece of kit. Is it better than the HTC One X though? That apparently has a better screen
Amazing phone, from what I've seen in videos, it's silky smooth, not seen one hiccup. No phone needs 12mp camera. My dslr has 10mp. 12mp would just add more noise. Can't comment on the screen until i see it for real. Looks great though. I would like to have seen at least 1.5gb ram. Future proofing.
Err, no: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=359277 I too am interested in seeing what the S3 has to offer. Unless Nokia blows it away in the cam multimedia department.
A huh, yes, but if you downscale a larger image it reduces the noise. We'll just have to wait and see from Nokia if it "stands or flops."
Impressive specs, but I'm not keen of it's design (it's subjectives, I know). The quad-core, 32nm Exynos is pretty good, but I'm still waiting on the S4 Pro-based phone
downscaling requires more processing power (think along the lines of super sampling anti aliasing). sure, the nokia has a 41mp camera, but with a single core 1.3ghz processor, you're gonna be waiting a while for that photo to save. factor in that the battery in the nokia is only 1400mAh or so and you wont be taking too many snaps at the 38mp actual res before it runs out of juice. with an 8mp camera and a quad core processor, you can take rapid high quality snaps with the s3, which is much more practical. im more interested in the LG optimus LTE2 at the moment though. i could really use 2gb of ram. im tired of my galaxy note always dumping apps because it doesnt have enough ram.
Just pre-ordered my S3 from O2, this phone should be the difference from night and day when compared to my trusty Iphone 3 which is just struggling these days with the newer iOS
this is a tiny bit bigger than my GNEX, once you get used to the size you just can't go back..... tried using my mates iPhone the other day and it just felt wrong typing on a screen that small
Pre ordered one from Amazon UK. £499 Hope its good, if not i'll send it back My Nokia E71 isn't cutting the mustard I've had 3 phones now, all with the same problem of dropping calls. I've had a new SIM card, and i'm starting to wonder if i have some kind of shrapnel in my head disrupting the phone!! This is why i got a refund on the S2
I've been having major problems with calls dropping out with my work IPhone 4 whereas my own Iphone 3 is rock solid...after loosing my temper a few times with calls dropping out I noticed that the IP 4 will always try to connect to 3G as a prioroity over 2G even if the 2G signal is stronger, its this switching I have noticed that has caused the drops outs, when I switched 3G off then voila no drop outs. I dont have problem when I'm London as 3G signal is strong but where I live in Kent the signal is weaker so my findings above have helped me......maybe this will help you sdamaged99?
I'm out of touch with the phones as of late. When is the S3 supposed to come out because I have an upgrade coming for my phone this October so I am wondering on which phone I should be upgrading.
I caved in an pre ordered one i've been fixing up my boss's s2 totally impressed with android i'm totally sold on it now i've owned nokia's for a long time now this is kinda end of a era for me
