    Need help here...

Since my first (bad) experience is over, I'm into overclocking again! ;)

can anyone guide me this time? my goal is to achieve a stable 4.0GHz, with minimal possible voltage modifications.

    My system:
    MOBO: Intel DH55HC
CPU: Intel Core i5 (@ stock speeds)
    CPU Cooler: Cooler Master V8
    RAM: 8 GB DDR3 1333
    GPU: nVidia GTX295
    HD: Intel X-25 G2 80GB SDD
    PSU: Cooler Master UCP 900W

Your motherboard is probably going to hold you back as its not really meant for high overclocks. But with most boards, you just drop the memory speed and raise the FSB. Once you cant boot into windows, raise CPU voltage a bit until you do and repeat.
To really learn about overclocking you should get a proper motherboard. The Intel media series isnt meant for this stuff, you wand their Extreme series motherboards if you prefer Intel brand, but even then their Extreme stuff wasnt that great either. Dont expect to get 4Ghz with "minimal" voltage, thats not always possible.

Erm, sorry not much help T_T

hehehe... nothing serious actually. after some changes on bios the PC entered on boot loop, not POSTing... i had to take all stuff out the case and try using a different cpu. it worked and i stuffed all in. it was kinda scary but didn't gave up. specially because for quite a long time i couldn't find a solution. i was wondering if i had fried my cpu or sumnthin'... ;)

u didnt have to use a different cpu... all you had to do was clear the cmos... if u dont have a clear cmos button, you can take the cmos battery out and it will reset the bios.... its a common thing to have happen while ocing....
