GTX295 @ DX11 showing on AfterBurner 2.1

    Been playing a while BF3 with a 295. It really goes great but AF is showing me that the game is running @ d3d11 with a dx10 card! The game goes smooth and I play it with high settings and hbao enabled. Can anyone explain this?

    Games that use DX11 exclusively can use the DX11 render on DX10 hardware, minus DX11 specific features like tessellation

    Games that can use DX10 or DX11 though will most of the time default to DX10 on a DX10 card.

    I could be wrong though

    Thank you for your answer. Yes I guess it should be dx11 minus the real features that dx11 has over dx10. But to tell you the truth, it runs really good, and the details are great. Cheers.
