Check it out, ASRock is showing their ASRock X99 OC Formula. The motherboard can supply a claimed "1300W" of maximum CPU power, using its 12-phase CPU VRM. Memory is care of a 4-phase VRM... ASRock X99 OC Formula Photos
Not really, yet again my old ASrock board still runs in my htpc, and they are the only ones that kept the consumer IR header in their designs for years. Not that it happened to make any difference for me so far, it still would have been an option for remote control integration into the pc.
I think it looks great and dual M2 interface over SATA Express is great and more practical than other x99 boards so far. If my previous MB didnt go out, I would have considered waiting for this but happy with my new replacement, for now.
I've wanted to do a white theme build for an age now, the motherboard is literally the only thing stopping me.
The brown and blue motherboard in my current rig kills an otherwise beautiful (imho) rig. I just don't see why no one is making one.
It's odd really, there's definitely a market for it. I even have a few parts picked out. SuperFlower Leadex Platinum 1000W Corsair Carbide 540 KFA2 GeForce GTX 780 HOF TeamGroup Xtreem LV "Frost Edition" Some nice white fans/cables, probably do a custom loop with white tubing etc for the CPU. Lets hope they'll be more common come Skylake.
