New Samsung Magician v4.9.6 pulled...?

I downloaded and installed new version 4.9.6 of Samsung Magician from the official Samsung site several hours ago across my Samsung SSD home PCs, but I now notice the site has been changed back to v4.9.5... did anyone else install it? Has it been pulled for a reason?

Would have posted a few links but can't as i'm new.

 

I only checked yesterday and it was .4.95 , not seen the 46 version you mention so if it has been pulled i missed it . If i was you i would revert back just to be sure .

I have learnt it's not always best to be the first to try new versions of software or drivers .

i'll keep on eye on the website and see if 4.6 pops back up , it might just be for a new drive they have coming out maybe .

I did read the changelog in the installation notes at the time and whilst I don't remember the precise words, it wasn't to support anything new, there were two fixes for existing devices.

 

Next time make a screen shot and post it on this forum.

I have a screen shot of Magician v4.9.6's about screen. I wish so much that I saved the install guide/changelog PDF. I would have posted the imgur link of the screen shot but I am a new user so the forum prevents me from posting any links yet.

And yes, I do have the Magician v4.9.6 install file.

Magician 496 now on the Samsung site.

Magician version 4.9.6 features a number of improvements over version 4.9.5:

- Improved stability with some SSD models
- Minor bug fixes

 

Install exe is exact same size.

 

I never install a pulled version or download it from a different site.

I always wait till its back on the download site.

Samsung need a new QA Team.

 

And when they don't pull their updates they have limited the amount of downloads...

 

Consumer install base is their QA Team; reason for the limited downloads.

Cannot imagine, this day and age, their servers could not handle the bandwidth. If this just amounts to a cost saving tactic, they could also try to buy a couple pallets of paperclips, staples, and post-it notes. Save a lot more money by outsourcing QA. If nothing serious pops up in the first week, then good to go. Otherwise, they only have to offer a remedy to a smaller percentage of their total install base. Total risk exposure is mitigated to some degree by limiting downloads.

If this means I messed up, then I messed up; not perfect. Just like to think it is a shame no one can be as perfect as me.
