I don't need the fastest driver, but I do need stability, so which driver should I use if I want to be able to run my machine 24/7?

Ah damn, I already went with 14.4, seems pretty solid so far though.

13.12 if you don't have performance issues, 14.6RC if you do. The difference in performance for my GPU between the two drivers is 6 - 7fps on the same clock in heaven. My 1100/1250 OC on 13.12 under performs the default 1030/1250 on 14.6.

There is *no* most stable driver. Go with the latest, if you get issues, downgrade. Easy as pie.

14.4 is the best for mine, been using it since release and still using it today

With latest BIOS I can use any driver, with good stability.

14.4 for my Tri-X OC all works well but Watch Dogs has the occasional desktop crash... But Grid Autosport, Trine, F12013 works perfectly... Only Watch Dogs gives the occasional crash..

I don't know why but 14.7-RC1 runs nice for me, although I have not tried many games, 0 desktop BSOD with these.

There have been reports of the 14.6 and 14.7 RCs causing a few degree increase in GPU temps. Something to keep in mind if you are overclocking.

The 14.4s have been fine for me (though I have a 270X not a 290). I am waiting for the 14.7 finals before I update.

Watch dogs hasn't crashed for me yet, so maybe it's something else about your system?

I understand the 14.6 and 14.7 beta/RCs have a few bugs and issues with DX9 games such as State of Decay, so would suggest perhaps 14.4 or 13.12 as suggested.

I would think 14.4 would possibly have better performance than 13.12 whilst by the sounds of it still being relatively stable.

Worth considering whilst they resolve the bugs introduced by 14.6/7.

    I agree.

After a good amount of testing, the 14.4's are the best on my machine. Using latest MSi BIOS.

Hey Sherlock why don't you find the oldest and first driver to ever come out for that card and use it! Surely you must know the first driver is the best of them all :) btw please don't breed
