340.66 WHQL Quadro Release

Thanks for post and modded inf.

Though, I'm a nooby when it comes to installing modded drivers.

Can I ask what exactly is modded and what the modded inf actually means? I'm just curious (and tbh a lil skeptical when it comes to modded drivers).

As I would like to try these on my 680, seeing that such positive feedback is being given about them.

Thanks for the alert and the links. I'm going to drop these on my nVidia card. Like some others here, I use the graphics driver only.

P.S. Modifying the .inf is easy. After you've done it once you'll realize it. You need to add your card under strings and the appropriate area for your OS; that's two measly lines of editing.

 

The "nv_dispwi.inf" has been edited to support GeForce cards, you can see how it's done here.

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 you will need to disable "Driver Signature Enforcement" to install them, once they are installed though you won't have to disable it again until you install other modded drivers, you can see how to do that in the thread I linked, or you can see other ways here

Perhaps Cyrus will show up here and mod the driver adding opengl 4.5 and providing a certificate to install the driver without having to disable driver signature enforcement

 

That would be great. I'm also missing ShadowPlay.

 

GFE (GeForce Experience, Shadowplay is part of GFE) is not included with Quadro drivers.

Drivers are running just as well as the betas for me minus the valley corruption. Keepers until we get to see what the Whql offer. TBH everything is running pretty smoothly bar watchdogs which is down to my CPU. Nice quadro image quality

 

Fair enough, although the Quadro drivers will hide the option to install NVupdate if they detect GFE is installed.

Thanks to you both. I modded the inf by myself, disabled driver signature enforcement and it worked like a charm, no problems with installation.

I gained 20 more points in Heaven and 40 more in Valley with this set, keepers here! No issues with 3DMark aswell.

 

It also doesn't work if you install GFE afterwards.

 

Cannot be successfully extracted with 7-Zip.

That sucks!

 

WinRAR worked fine for me.

 

Why would you want to extract it? you get the option to choose where the files extract to when you run the exe.

 

Why, cause it fixed Vally flicker and that game tessellation bug?

Im asking because im ok @ openGL 4.5 driver atm, dont really see any point in these 340.66 other then Vally fix and I dont play that
