    Weird issue here.

When I play Star Wars Battlefront over HDMI from my XPS 15 (9550) I get video cutting out only the moment I get killed in the game. Picture goes black, sounds cuts back to the laptop for a second then picture comes back on the TV again. Not sure what the issue is. Tried different TV's, cables and Nvidia drivers. Nothing seems to resolve this.

    ideas?

^ Have you tried using a different HDMI cable?

Just Battlefront? Does it do the same on the laptop screen?

Vga or display port to try?

Hdmi might be faulty if it happens outside battlefront. Maybe the laptop is overheating or when it gets hot from the game its causing some issue with thr hdmi socket

Try some sort of gpu cpu stress test with the hdmi plugged in and see if you can replicate. Then try with vga/others if you have them

So far just Battlefront. The TV only has HDMI and component inputs so not sure if there's a way to go display port to HDMI. I guess there's an adapter?

I do know the laptop does get quite hot on the bottom when gaming. I guess I can try another connection type and see. Or lower the resolution and see what happens.

I believe display port to hdmi is just a simple adapter or cable, cheap thing. So if you've got one of them on the laptop it would be worth a try

That and check for dust in the vents, elevate the laptop up off the table/whatever with something (mines is just propped up on a screwdriver)

Might be only battlefront as that's a new gpu intensive game

I bought the adapter on eBay for $3. Now I'll have to wait 8 weeks to try it.

The laptop itself is brand new so no dust or anything. I guess I can try more games.

$hit, 8 weeks! Couldn't you find something local or even from the US? :)
