Just treated myself to a couple of new GPUs

    First benches ran:-

    3dMark Fire Strike - 16715
    Fire Strike Extreme - 8681
    53k vantage P

Hope these are decent scores. Good value GPU's, only £640 for the pair

    3930K @ 4.5 - will get 4.8 stable again (installed new BIOS!)
    Rampage Extreme IV
    32GB Samsung Green RAM
    Samsung 840 Pro 256GB (O/S)
    Samsung Evo 500GB (Steam)
    2TB WD Green (Backups)
2TB Caviar Black (Data and other games)
    2 x BD/RW
    360mm Alphacool 80mm Radiator
    240mm Alphacool Radiator
    NZXT Switch 810
Scythe Gentle Tyhpoon 1850 on all radiators
Bitfenix Spectre Pro 140mm case fans x 4

    that's pretty much it really

I lost my job about 18 months ago (got a new one next day!) so sold my GTX 580 SLI and bought a cheap Radeon 7870XT as i knew i wouldn't have much time for gaming. The card was great though for the price

Anyway, i'm in a new job now for four months and it's much better so thought i would get back into gaming

I decided not to go Nvidia as i didn't like how the screwed over their customers with the Titan @ £1000 then releasing the 780 only 3 months later, then the 780Ti, and then releasing the proper Titan Black

My friend got burned by this so it annoyed me.

the 290 is a superb card, can't say enough good things about the Vapor-X - it is simply incredible. SO quiet and cool!

They're fantastic cards, I'm glad that you're enjoying them. I'd easily rate the Vapor-X as the best of the line, and when buying AMD I generally always go Sapphire.

Yup, I’ll honestly not buy any other brand whilst they keep making the Vapor-X

Yeah i always buy Sapphire, only got the MSi Gaming because it was in stock at the time i was buying, and the Sapphire wasn't, still, the MSi is also a cracking card, no complaints.

I plan to buy 2 of these Sapphire Vapor-x-290s. However, the reviews fron the EGG tend to show problems with the cards, lots of RMA-ing and about $20.00 of shipping cost to the buyer. Could You please let us know if You've have any trouble ehith the cards.

Also, are you getting enough air flow between the cards in crossfire?

Cards were making my case insanely hot, they literally just pump the heat into your case and not out of the back. My switch 810 side panel felt like it was going to melt. Sent them back and bought a 295x2 and a full XPSC waterblock instead
