Sony to release updated, more powerful PS4.

I think we will see some sort of announcement ahead of the PSVR launch. It is highly probable that a revised PS4 will include better CPU and GPU for VR, plus 4K Blu-Ray support. This way Sony can market it as 4K. Technically it won't be on paper.

 

If it does turn out to be true about a more powerful PS4 and XB1, watch the trade-in price of both the console crash through the floor the minute it is confirmed.

It will be like the the 2008 crash, but for consoles. lol

So 2x GPU power and a new CPU? If so you're basically forced to upgrade from PS4 to PS4K even if you have no interest in 4K or VR as regular games are going to run better on that hardware.

 

You wont be forced to upgrade as every game will run perfectly well on the PS4. Only difference being a smoother framerate in heavy graphical games.

 

Have to win the lottery to keep up to date with all the new tech...lol, just bought a 4K tv so need time to save for anything else 4K....lol

Sigh..if they want to release an updated version, it's all up to them. It doesn't mean I'm buying it specially since the one I've got works fine to me.
