Default Radit - Anti-Aliasing management tool - 05-27-2012, 23:06 | posts: 445 | Location: Somewhere Else

Edit: MSAA confirmed working on Timeshift demo and Mafia 2

Stumbled on this program by chance and allows you to create AA profiles for games that do not support it very much like nhancer. Confirmed tested on Diablo 3 and Mafia 2 on my system

EDIT 2.0
Quote:
Various games do not offer a decent AA. The tool could be of help. You can use it every game that is its own anti-aliasing to assign profile. And all without Installing, renaming exe, registry or memory-resident software botch! Works only under Vistax64 / Windows 7x64. Responsible for the idea of changing the Catalyst. Dlls from jackfuste , which is based on the program.
Linkage

Steps to get it working using Diablo 3 as an example

1. Install the AA caps (rebooted PC)
2. Set desired AA level in the CCC (Override Mode for anti-aliasing)

3. In Radit select new then browse to the directory where the exe file is so in the case of Diablo 3 for me it is D:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo III\Diablo III. Then selected the AACaps (2008F for D3) and then click Done and the program will exit

If everything has been successful you should see the following dll next to the exe file in the game directory

Diablo 3 4XSSAA

Diablo 3 8xMSAA EQ

Timeshift 4xSSAA and have got 8xMSAA to work

I don't get it...what's the difference between using this app and creating a profile using application override in CCC?

ATI/AMD drivers have different functionality presets for different executables, these are defined prior and cannot be changed by enduser. (Example:- Anti Aliasing predefinitions in this case)

The other alternative method than the one described above, is to change the name of the executables themselves. (which could be falsely detected as trigger for anti-cheating/hacking mechanism or the game just won't start up)

Note: Similar options to change AA profiles is present in Radeon Pro too

Okie, I got it to work and hotdamn, I'm excited!! I was using the beta 12.5 drivers but did a clean out and installed 12.4's (not the hotfix) and it works beautifully!!! So glad to have the detail back (which the in game 'AA' blurred)!

Are you saying it can change the driver flags like Inspector can? Flags that overide the Control Centre settings..?

Yepp..But the app changes AA flags in a file and puts them in the game folder, doesn't change it globally(driver profiles).

The tools comes also with some AA profiles that aren't in the official drivers (made by jackfuste).
