    Oooooooooooooook.....

So he said that he still needs to try it? He didn't say what slot he put the ram in... the whole post is confusing. When i read that, i read that he hadn't tried just running one stick in slot one, and it still reads that way to me...

I could be wrong though, it's been known to happen.

Oh, and what is "Flexibility Option" on other motherboards? Is that FSB Spread Spectrum?

I'd say get your hands on either an Abit NF7-S, MSI K7N2 Delta ILSR, or DFI NF2 Ultra-B.

Then crank the hell out of the fsb.

    just some info-

a "400mhz" FSB actually runs at 200mhz, NOT 400mhz. The reason it is called a "400mhz" is because DDR memory uses both sides of the clock cycle, effectively doubling the frequency.

so, for examply 200mhz x 11x is an effective 400mhz FSB.
and 166mhz x12.5x, as in my processor, gives you an effective 333mhx fsb.

You will never be able to run a 3200+ @ 400mhz, because that would be an effective 800mhz fsb!

The problem is that some people would say "I've got my 3200+ running at 400mhz fsb," and some people would say "I've got my 3200+ running at 200mhz fsb," and thy could very well mean the same thing.

Does that make sense? Does it help you?

EDIT:After reading the thread more carefully, I realize that this info probably won't help you, so therefore I apologize for wasting your time.

Sure he could it Run with FSB-200

I got mine Athlon XP2800+@2356(12.5*188) and For Benching 2500Mhz (12.5*200) Air Cooled with Thermaltake Extreme Volcano 12+ Max 48°C
All what you need is good Hardware /RAM/PSU/ and a very good COOLING !
You have to play with some Settings/Timings/Voltage sure this takes some Time to get a stable system but....No Pain no Gain

    YES !!

    ok here try these settings
They work very well on my mobo -
    MSI KT6/VIA-KT600 Delta MS6590 V.2.0 Bios 5.57
    Ram Corsair TwinX 1024 XMS 3200XL (2-2-2-5)

    Settings :

    Spread Spectrum Disable
    CPU FSB 200
    CPU Vcore Voltage 1.95+
    DDR Voltage 2.95+

    DRAM Timing Control :

    SDRAM Frequency 400 Mhz
    SDRAM CAS# Latancy 2.5
    Row Precharge Time 2
    Ras Puls Width 6
    Ras to Cas Delay 3
Write Recovery Cycle Auto = 2T
    Bank Interleave 4 Way
    SDRAM Burst Length 4 QW
    SDRAM 1T Command Disabled
    (CPU) Fast Command Normal
    Fast R-2-R Turnaround Disabled

Youll have to test the Ram timigs for yourself because each Ram acts different....

Thanks for all of ur help.
As u can c i went BAD to WORSE.It goes to show how much of a type of mobo can really affect A system.Even though i though i was slightly improving by getting a dedicated 400fsb mobo i was making matters worse!!??
Now hopefully i can put all this crap behind me with a Abit AN7 nForce2 Ultra 400FSB.And use my systen to its FULL protentiol(even though its a A32).
