Cooler Master, a leading creator, innovator and manufacturer of desktop components and more, today officially unveils to the world the first stackable "modtower" -- The HAF Stacker series.... Cooler Master adds HAF Stacker Series
Even tho I love my HAF X, I must say that CM design team should hire some new people or start working on new designs. Not because I find the current HAF series ugly or anything because I don't but the reason is that their design/look is a bit played out by now imo..
I rather like their cm 690 advanced series then the HAF series they remind me of cases from 8 or 10 years ago by the looks.
The HAF series is still one of the best looking case lines on the market. There's no need to replace something that still looks nice and works great. Change for the sake of having something "different" is nothing but a black hole for your wallet to die in. As for the Stacker idea, it seems like it would create a fair bit more contained heat for the bottom unit in particular. I don't think I would go for it unless I was on liquid cooling myself.
That's a question of taste. I think they're fugly. I love the monolithic design of my 900D, however others hate them.
Getting kind of bored with my HAF-X looking at buying the nzxt phantom 820 or the 900d but that one may be overkill for my needs?
True but it looks like ugly is what they are aiming for. BTW I do have my backup rig in a HAF 922 it is ugly as home made sin but it does have good airflow but very bad dust protection.
Agreed, it is a matter of taste, as is pretty much every case available to the general public. Speaking of the HAF series and lack of Dust filters (at least on the earlier ones), has anyone here tried stealing their wife's panty hose (for the dust of course)?
this is an intriguing concept. your comments are cracking me up; okay, sure, this stuff wont win a beauty pageant. you dont buy the HAF series for looks - you buy for the functionality! yeah the design isnt sleek...who cares? the water cooling niche is steered by utilitarianism. as a side note, im not biased at all & love my 932
