    10.3 ok also

10.3 also does not crash, but the cpu usage is the same. Do you think it is firefox and chrome and not the driver? IE 10 is working very good.

It depends. sometimes it's the driver and other times it's firefox.

experimental build works the same here. no modern video app and high cpu usage for hd video in firefox and chrome. IE 10 working great though

    Are you sure?
Can you tell me the steps you took to install this driver?

    Steps Should be
    Download Drivers
    Extract
    Close All Applications and software.
    Install driver.
    Or
    Install Driver
    then restart your Operating System

    steps

I install the driver then reboot the machine. 13.1 is the best performing driver for my system. Only IE 10 works with HW acceleration correctly on any driver that I have tried so far. Single Mobility 4650 1 GB DDR3 card with win8x64 enterprise, but no working modern video app except for the default built-in MS WDDM 1.1 driver from June 2012.

Hmm.. I'm using the experimental build and everything works correctly. If the WDDM driver allowed you to use the Camera APP and Youtube App, then this should also provide you with the same functionality.

For now it would be best to wait until other Windows 8 x64Bit users use the Experimental Build.

That's great! Have you tried Hardware Acceleration in Flash Videos for Mozilla Firefox while playing videos in 720 and 1080p?

Ok, then how about your performance in games? Does the performance of this driver match the HotFix 7 BETA 6?

A lost in performance was expected. I saw your post, but the reason why I wanted firefox results was due to Google and IE both playing HD videos smoothly on my Graphic Card. (In other words, I only experience lag when using firefox). However, when using the experimental build I have little to no lag while playing HD videos in Firefox.

So, does that mean videos play smooth when using firefox? The scroll lag may be a Firefox bug. (I will look into it)

Hardware Acceleration is working fine for me in Firefox and IE 10 no change from your last beta except that my flickering is back on certain sites in Firefox when I enter fullscreen. All the Windows 8 apps work too. I tried a game and it did look a tad slower, but not too much different. It was like the 11.12 driver performance for games.

Can you provide the link to those sites?
Performance decrease on my system was visible, but not to the point where it would be a problem.

For me only TSN.ca and if you go to their video tab and try to go to fullscreen when it plays produces the flickering, not sure it could be other sites, that is the only one that I went to and noticed the issue. BTW I just noticed that this driver broke my switchable graphics, as I can't switch to my integrated card to see if the problem was just my 5400 card as in your Hotfix 7 Beta 5 driver. Both drivers installed like it did before and are both using the c8.inf file so something is up.

Lastly I am not sure if you can solve this, but your last beta when it installed, my screen didn't blank with the backlight on like the other betas including this one did. It just stays black and I have to manually reboot either by connecting something to HDMI or just by holding the power button.

I don't see any flicker in the video I played in Fullscreen. Can you give me a direct link to the video?

So, the back light bug did not occur in HotFix 7 BETA 6?

    Questions

Are you guys testing the built-in video app? It is not called camera. It is called video. Also, firefox doesn't lag, it is just that the cpu usage spikes when watching anything in HD. Chrome does not lag either, but it also spikes cpu usage. Every driver I have tested does this. With IE 10, the cpu usage does not spike when watching hd videos. Is anyone here checking cpu usage when testing hd video? Just because it does not lag does not mean that it is working correctly.

No the backlight bug didn't occur, but at the end of the installation my screen was at full brightness and I just needed to hit the brightness button on the keyboard to restore. I mentioned it before, but sometimes when it didn't have the bug, the whole driver installation would flicker my screen 5 different times, but the last beta only did 4.

Here is the url, try it in firefox if you hadn't. I think it is just my 5400 card, because they use some different drivers and it didn't do it on Beta 5 with the 4200: http://video.tsn.ca/.
