So what would you guys suggest..:
Keep my three EVGA 780ti Kingpin or sell and buy a couple of 980 g1's.
I'm really torn on what to do...

    Awesome sauce :)

Did the SLI bridge come with these cards?

I managed to find an old one buried with a bunch of old parts I can use, but was just curious. It doesn't mention it being included in the reviews I've seen..

There is no considerable perf. upgrade for you. Test that down sampling 1st and see if performance hit is too high for your cards in comparison with GTX 980.

And if you actually have big performance hit and you see great visual improvement, it may be worth moving.

Otherwise you'll just waste money for side grade.

    Thanks.
As for downsampling, with a single 780ti Kingpin, I can run watchdogs in ultra settings using Marduks merged mod @ 3200x1800 downsampled to 1080p and I'm getting between 50-55fps.
The only main reason I'm looking at upgrading is for the lower power requirements.

Come on Alex, haven't you got them yet? :)

I was curious to know what case you have, I probably need a new one to replace this dust filled wreck I have.

It's one of the 500, not sure where the number's even written any more.
At least i think thats the one > replaced the glass side with a full metal one, i managed to break it the first year

    Orrrr you could clean it?

I just cleaned out my case a few nights ago with compressed air (h100 rad and all the fans) and found my GPU and CPU idle temps shot down 3-4 degrees each.

There's no good enough excuse not to stick them in right away.

So had a play with dsr factors. So this means you can choose a higher res than your current native res?

I tried the lowest one and tried World of tanks and Napoleon Total war. Looked worse...(yep a new higher resolution appeared in the Graphics settings).

Am I missing something..? i.e it's meant to be an improvement no?

Or it only effects your current res..no need to change to any diff res in-game..?

I do give it a semi disassemble and dust it about twice a year, there are a few nooks that are pretty hard to get to and you can never do the fans completely unless you take them out.

It's a little bit battered now especially after putting the new card in yesterday (hacksaw job in desperation), the lower dust filter keeps falling off and I'd like a roomier one anyway.

    @ pimpernel,
Please answer, does Gigabyte supply an MSI SLI bridge with their cards?

Buncha freaks got me to pull the trigger on one. You all need to quit making me buy stuff! :givebeer:

Ordered the MSI GTX 970 Gaming.

The performance for the price is crazy. On par with a 780ti, for almost half the price. Wow.

Bought an EVGA...... Then refused shipping whne it arrived....

Bought an MSI OC 970gtx!!! Now i'm Happy!!!

I'm upgrading from a 260gtx... It lasted a long time, but it's time to upgrade. Played Battlefield 4 at 20fps on the lowest settings. Didn't help i only had 4gb system ram. I can only imagine what a new computer is going to bring! Cant wait!
