Regarding OSD compatibility, setting afterburner to custom d3d library is all that is usually required.
As for settings... a helpful user named Sekta combined SFX 1.5 into 1.4 so it works with RadeonPro.

Thanks, you're a lifesaver! that saved me from a considerable time tweaking it.

Yup, Planetside 2 did detect SweetFX, but it is based on SOE wanna ban or not.(They rarely ban people, you can search about it on Reddit)
They also detect OSD, but they has whitelisted it.
Even Higby is using SweetFX too, but it is because he is the dev. ;)

Afaik no one was ever banned its just the normal reddit blowing rumours out of proportion. In fact i haven't heard of a game yet that blocks for OSD or SweetFX :)

    Hello everyone,

I have an issue and some questions regarding SweetFX for x64 games.

I have Windows Vista SP2 64b and can run any 32b game using SweetFX via Raedon Pro. Works flawlessly.

BUT, when I try to use it on a 64b game, such as Watch Dogs, or Murdered:Soul Suspect, the game systematicaly crashes on launch with a fatal application error message.

I have tried nearly everything I can think of or could find on the various forums :
    1) Tried using Sweet FX 1.4 directly into the uplay/bin folder - crash
    2) Tried using SFX 1.5 directly into the uplay/bin folder - crash
    3) Tried using SFX Bolataur 64b version (using the new dll.) directly into the uplay/bin folder - crash
    4) Tried using SFX 1.4 and Radeon Pro - crash
    5) Tried using SFX 1.5 and Radeon Pro - crash
    6) Tried using SFX Bolataur 64b version and Radeon Pro - crash
    7) Tried using the SFX Configurator with all versions mentionned above - crash

I narrowed all my trial-and-errors to one particular issue : the 64b version DXGI.DLL

When I remove that particular file, the game launches, but, obviously, SFX does not open up.

So, I'm stumped. It's frustrating to have my 32b games work perfectly with beautiful SFX graphics, only to play my 64b games vanilla style :(

Any ideas or suggestions please ?

Nope, I means that on reddit, even they are telling SOE to ban player that exploit the bug, the player still not getting ban. ;)
Yes, try disable Origin In-Game Overlay.

Fraps, Flawless widescreen, Origin, Uplay and Steam overlays are all off - crash.

Thanks for the idea though :)

Keep in mind all win32 games work - just the win64 that do not. Something to do with the DXGI.dll but I can't find a way to suppress the problem.

I had the same problem. Try using injector from there,it helped me:
But problem of crashing Configurator has been resolved only after installing\reinstalling .Net Framework and XNA Framework. Good luck.

Thanks for the suggestion, just tried - and crash.

As for the Configurator, it launches alright, but it just doesnt apply any SFX setting in game.

    Hi,

    I´m new on this forum!

I used Sweet FX to make A:CM more "ugly" . Sounds strange, I know....:3eyes:

I add the CRT, HDR, etc. to make A:CM looking like it comes from a old VHS Videorecordingsystem from the 80´s.

I like this look. If you wanna check it out, on Moddb, Aliens : Colonial Marines / VHS Mod

(can´t post a link, it´s my first post on this forum)

    I got a questions:

How can I make videos of the game, with Sweet FX? I´ll tried fraps and MSI Afterburner. Nothing worked. I only get a video of the stocked version (original), or sweet fx dosen´t starts, and the rig crashes.

    Cheers!

It works. Never tried it myself but i heard from many sources that it does indeed capture sweetFX. You could also try the Open Broadcaster Software.
And not every codec captures SweetFX as far as i know. Try the Lagarith Lossless Video Codec.

    For Win 8.1?

I've found this pack that worked for me:
    forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=390465

It's a brew of SweetFX, EFX and Bolotaur's injector.
I use it on Battlefield 4 on Win 8.1 x64.

Hello, I've got troubles using SweetFX for a couple of days now
First of all I'm not new to this program, I use it for several years now but I've never had this problem

It started with L4D2. I tried a preset ( sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/1100/ ) with SweetFX 1.5.1 Boulotaur version as stated, it worked the first time, crashed once and then refused to launch again with SFX activated. Since the installation is a little strange (install in both root directory and /bin) I thought maybe the game was not really "sweetFX-compliant", so I gave up after some tests
Anyway for the record here is the log :
So I let it go, and tried a preset for Arma 3 : sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/727/
It uses SweetFX 1.4, the install is basic (drop the files into root directory and enjoy), ARMA works perfectly for a couple of days. But suddenly, out of nowhere, my game crash and don't want to launch anymore, like for L4D2 :3eyes:
I haven't modified the preset except for deactivating the AA but nothing more, and anyway the game worked back then ..
The log is the same as the previous game :
I don't understand .. Can someone help me please ?
    my config : i5 2500k, GTX 660 with 337.88 drivers, win 7 64, 8Go RAM

You have to rename the downloaded file to SweetFX_settings.txt.
That's what the injector is looking for.

OBS with (or without) the LLV plugin worked....yes and no.....I´ll have to deactive the CRT - effect, to make a video. And I can only make a windowed video with a very poor quality.
