I did not realize how small 2.5" is until I saw an actual SSD. They are much smaller than 3.5" HDDs.

So my question is specific to the NZXT Phantom chasis because everywhere it is said that the HDD sleds in the case are compatible with 3.5" HDDs & 2.5" SSDs. I have seen pictures of SSDs mounted in these brackets but some of them are right in the middle of the bracket & some seem like they're connected to only one side of the bracket; so what is the right way to mount an SSD into the NZXT Phantom?

Well... You can just let it be on the bottom of your case. No harm in doing so since there aren't any moving parts.
