I need an answer ASAP. It is between the KS8000 55 inches, or the KS7000 60 inches, both for the same price. Need the difference!
Not much difference.. KS8000 have slightly better response time (12ms vs 16ms), slightly better edge light, but very similar in picture quality. KS8000 also have slightly better speakers (60w vs 40w). Keep in mind that the NA(US) KS7000/8000 is not the same as EU KS7005(8005) so there might be some other differences between models in the EU. Edit: Looked up difference between KS7005 and 8005, and the hardware are similar. Only difference is that KS8005 have other design, 60w speakers and twin tuner.
I thought the response times were 8ms and 10ms on gamemode? And would you know what TV is the better one in a dark room? So if I care more about size I should go with the 60 inches even though its slitghtly worse, and at the same price? To put it, which one would you have gone with?
From a personal perspective on my UE65KS7005 65" (USKS8000), I am very happy with my purchase. Great picture quality. Little to no screen reflection in light and dark room. I prefer watching TV and movies in dark rooms and i'm impressed the quality of my TV. The panel between the KS7000 and KS8000 should be the same, with slight differences depending on where the panel where produced. So it's all down to your preferences and wallet I suggest reading up on the two models on avsforums UExxKS7000 UExxKS8000/8500
I'm mostly worried about how long of a desk you'll need for the TV. I read 112cm between the stands on the TV? Do you have it wall mounted?
Just measured my 65" KS7005 (KS8000). It have two settings for the feets, one narrow position and one wide position. Narrow: 90cm Wide: 120 or 130cm (unable to measure without moving my TV) TV total width: 145cm. No i have not wall mounted mine yet, but will soon.
What is the benefit of wall mounting a TV? It's difficult, requires cable routing, is a hassle to take down if needed plus leaves huge holes in the wall
The panels might be the same, but the supporting hardware is a little different. Main differences: KS7000 60 inch / KS8000 55 inch UHD dimming / Supreme UHD dimming Motion 200 / Supreme Motion 2100 PQI / 2300 PQI (Picture Quality Index) 2.1 ch sound / 4.1 ch sound 40 W / 60 W single tuner / dual tuner branch stand / Y stand 205 W max power use / 210 W max power use 22.6 kg / 19.9 kg (tv weight with stand) So the KS8000 in theory has better picture quality, better motion, better sound, and dual channel which could be useful if using the PVR function. You can record one channel and watch another, whereas the KS7000 you can only record the same channel you are viewing.
You got a source on that regarding Motion 200 and Supreme motion? I can only find references to it on comments on forums.
Unfortunately no. My guess would be the motion 200 is using previous algorithm and method as previous Samsung screens, whereas Supreme Motion uses a new or heavily modified method/algorithm.
Okey, thanks. I've found some information regarding supreme motion, but it's just mentioned on the new MU7000/MU8000 series. Could not find any information regarding KS series.
