    here's my list:
    1-Doom (idtech 6 and gore :D)
2-call of duty Ghosts 2 supposedly(i liked cod ghosts story and varied missions)
3-homefront the revolution( the first game had a nice premise even though a bit of a let down).
4-mirror's edge catalyst(well we all know how we all loved the first game nothing else to say there, parkour, wall running, wall jumping, all in FPS)
5-shadow warrior 2, although i havent played the first game but this game looks really great visually, i hope the gameplay can match)
    6-Sniper Ghost warrior 3
7-rising storm 2 a vietnam themed shooter with modern graphic engine was always my favorite thing, enjoyed a bit in the first blackops game, but it wasnt much to satisfy the needs, bring it on...

Sadly, I have to admit, BF5. Not much else is a must for me, I'll just see what comes along (Mirror's Edge for instance).

    Doom - for obvious reasons
Homefront The Revolution - I kindda liked the first one although it was pretty twisted
Shadow Warrior 2 - First one was super fun
Deus Ex Mankind Divided - I hope the final product will look like the trailers.

I also wish Skynet HD remaster would be released. I'd actually make it in UE4 myself if I knew how to.

    How is Mirror's Edge FPS?

Anyways for me it's probably Homefront 2 as I really liked the premise of the first one, concerned that the complete mess of development will show in the final game though.

i'm skeptical of no man;s sky actually, it might be repetitive in terms of gameplay and otherwise a little bit too large in scale to make it tight gameplay wise, we will have to wait and see and that's why i didnt put it as my most anticipated one.

mirror's edge is in FPS point of view, regardless if there is shooting guns or not, the first one had guns in parts. so it goes in the category of First person shooter.

    That's about it.
I'm interested in FC: Primal and Homefront 2, but not sure if it's enough to just grab them or wait.

FC : Primal is a hit or miss, greatly depends on the amount of similarities to FC4. FC series usually have good writing but is it enough if the game looks like a FC4 copy?

Do you know what FPS stands for? It's an acronym.

    FIRST PERSON SHOOTER.

Just because it does not have the generic, typical gun style does not make it an FPS.

I would say Doom tentatively. It will depend on what it actually plays like and I will wait and see YouTube in-game videos first before buying.

Good idea. I don't play online games as the behavior of people is not controlled by the environment they are in. By that I mean you usually end up with someone using the game as a playground instead of a battlefield where you could really die!

Even so, I think it would be a good idea for the little nametags floating over each combatant to not be visible after they get some distance away. This would simulate the fact that in real life you cannot distinguish who someone is from a certain distance and beyond. It would also make the game much more immersive.

I guess that's what I look for most in a game...immersion. I want to feel like I'm in the situation as completely as possible...not just watching everything happen. This attribute is sorely lacking in a lot of modern games. Either that or there is way too much busy-ness that makes it impossible to focus.
