as said in the title they are the TRI version with the big ass fans.

    I have 2.

When I have 1 on it isn't that loud goes up to about oh...56% fan speed?

When I have 2 on, main will hit 73-76% and it unbelievably loud/annoying/hot/etc

How close are the 2 card to each other ?
And what temps are they both reaching ?

like before it was fine so I don't know what happened? Nothing changed.
My friend said it was "airflow" since my case was horribly messy since I was to lazy to do cable management so I did and nothing.

    That is just Fable 3

What's your framerate and GPU usage in Fable 3? How are other games / benchmarks doing in terms of GPU usage, heat, fan speed? Do you use VSync, and if so are you using VSync in Fable 3?

the BF4 is where it is suppose to be. I have no idea why fable is so low and for some reason it has been flickering when the screen is bright sometimes
no v sync or any of that

fable I was walking around nothing else.

and I believe it does this for all games unless of course I am playing plague or FTL

For your benchmarks are they made up.No way does R9 290 crossfire score that low.

For noise I listened to your video check out what Rich_Guy posted http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EomL1oysVXs

Since you have your computer by your feet with the side off, touch video card in different places to see if any noise goes away.

and for the intel integrated garbage I kind of need that since AMD does not let you hook up any accessory monitors, I have my 4th monitor and my tv connected to it.

I found out the 2nd card is basically completely off when not used.

ok here is an update I took them out cleaned this severally, uninstalled/reinstalled drivers, reset bios to default etc.

but I am seeing something weird.

It mite not be the cards after all I run fable 3 HOWEVER I still get the flickering and garbage FPS BUT when I look at that fans it is under 50%.

I set the both fans to 50% and start the game then as always it gets loud, louder then it did when I MANUALLY changed the fan.

sooooooo.............. is it NOT the video card.........? I am confused.:3eyes:

    fans I have:
    2 290x
    3 stock fans
    1 corsair h100i

I checked the stock fans unplugged them very quick each.
    absolutely nothing.

I have the corsair fans on quiet mode and even if I put it on "balanced mode" it goes to about 1600-1900RPM and isn't even that loud really unless I put it @performance mode.

There is one other option..... and that is the PSU but I bought it new.....FROM newegg not some guy on ebay used....?

this is what I have(just link didn't buy it from him) http://www.ebay.com/itm/CORSAIR-750...-/251573183550?pt=PCA_UPS&hash=item3a92ee243e

I don't understand it should be sufficient power right? I had 2 780's and changed to 2 290x's?

A longgggg ass time ago when I was young in high school and didn't know anything about pc's I did have a to low to support my GPU but it was ALWAYS loud 24/7....
    :stewpid:
is there anyway to test it really quick? just make the fans stock at a certain speed etc? Or am I FORCED to buy a new one......?

I'm still not that knowledgeable but my friend says it should be sufficient since it is BRONZE Certified

To be honest, I wouldn't run 290 crossfire on a 750w. I'd use an 850 as a bare minimum just to be safe, and would likely aim a little higher.

    http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1057?vs=1063

The power consumption is a fair bit higher on the 290's.

Are you getting the problem in any other games? Just testing with Fable 3 isn't really painting a big enough picture.

2 290X's is pushing it with 750w... A quality PSU should be able to, but it's NOT recommended at all. Quality PSU like this are recommended: Seasonic Platinum-1000

Have you tried turning off the onboard graphics just to test.

2x 780s will use less power than the 290's though, so id say 750w would be pushing it.

Uh yeah... Anything less expensive for a 1000w? Or lower?

You could always look for other reputable 1000W power supplies. Corsair RM1000 is decent and I'm currently using a XFX Pro 1000W (which uses the internals from a Seasonic unit).

To be honest this sounds pretty normal to me.....The tri-x dumps loads of heat in your case and 2 just makes it twice as bad so it's really no suprise that adding another card is jacking up temps and noise levels even though for 290x crossfire I would say those temps are really good on air.

What would even be the difference between a horrendous reference design and a Tri fan design if they did the same exact thing?

I thought the Tri-X coolers were praised for their silence? Does the noise go away when running on one card?
