For cases that lay horizontal and the case fans are on the sides only. When there is open vents in the back, is it better to have all 4 fans as intake, to push the air out the open vents. Or to keep one side as exhaust?

I read a test about my case on Tomshardware. They mentioned that the 70mm fans on the sides were loud. they disabled 2 of the fans on one side which dropped 6 db's on load and only lost 2C in temperature.
But I wondered what if I flipped those 2 exhaust fans around so it all pushes the air out of the open vents (there are several). If positive airflow is supposed to do better than negative when directed on a heatsink, I figured all 4 pushing into the case would offer the best cooling?

If the noise is bothersome, I might use a fan controller but then again, I may as well just disable a couple of fans like the reviewer did.
