This Stereo 3D forum is for you to solve your problems regarding the use of Stereo goggles.

Please do not post stuff like nVIDIA/ATi s@cks in Stereo while the other one does not, do not try to flame or anything. Just because you had bad luck with your system, it doesn't mean that others will have the same, nor that the company s@cks.

When you post, please be as discreptive as possible. (What drivers are you using, what 3D drivers are you using etc...)

    --------- Basic stuff -------------

What you should always remember, is that you should use the MAX refresh rate your monitor can handle at the resollution you play (And if your monitor can't do 100-120 at the resolution you are playing, then go down a notch. The stereo effect withou your eyes aching will compensate you ;))

"Page flipped" are the LCD shutter glasses, just like the ones that ASUS gives or the ELSA did or any kind of glasses that you buy and have LCDs for each of your eyes.

"Anaglyph" Remember the Red/Green (or what ever other color) glasses from the old 3D cinemas?(or the more modern and hot-as-it-gets iMAX <-those work a bit different ;)) well those are the anaglyphs.

"Stereo Separation". That is how much your stereo images are separated from each other. How big the difference will be from the two images. The more the separation, the bigger the stereo effect, BUT if your eyes are not used to it, then a higher number of separation may also mean a bigger headache/eyestrain for you in the first few sessions, so start low with it at first and up it as you go.

"Convergence" This is interesting and a tricky one.
The more you "converge" the closer the stuff will appear to you.
Have it too high, and that grenade comming right at you will seem to be popping out of the screen. Set it hight and stuff will fly AT you. Set it low, and you will see that instead of things comming at you, it will seem as if the screen is hollow, you will see like the monitor is a frame and you are looking into it.

On a final note, not all games are good with stereo mode.
Some, while masterpieces, do not like the way the cards work with the cameras to give the images (the drivers "jiggy" the camera left and right) and some objects appear in the wrong place. Either too far, or behind something that they should be infront of it or you see them double (Toca Race Driver, the eyes of the character while in the cut-scene, appeared outside of the scull with my system. ) So if your game is not looking ok, as if the objects are not in the right place, do not blame your drivers just yet. Check out the compatibility list in the drivers (This goes for nVIDIA drivers, not sure if ATi has such a list) to see how the game you want to play is behaving.

Also, first install your dets, (preferrably from the 44.03 and up) and then your Stereo drivers (not the same as Detonators!!!) Your stereo drivers should be the latest always. (Currently ulsing 43.03 Stereo with 44.03 dets and have no trouble)
Will try to update this with Tips as we go.

    To Glidefan

I was told you might be able to help me out. See my post on Movie Plus EyeFX 3D Software. Any help would be great. If there is any other software you know of that does the same thing, please let me know!!! Thanks!
