Check this. TNT2 model 64. And Tribes.. Just got some problems together. Tribes loads..with opengl settings enabled..it runs from anywhere to 5 second, to 5 minutes, before crashing to an unrecoverable freeze..Ive tried every combination of drivers..I can get my hands on, open GL and detonator.. any..suggestions..at all.
p2 400, 147megs, 12gigger.
I kinda think its the motherboard, which is kinda old. You think maybe the agp slot cant handle the 4x card.
Which by the way is an aopen pa3000+
U mean 128+16=144 am I right?
Can not prove it now, but I've heard from somewhere that TNT2-cards do not really work in AGP4x mode.
Could u specify your videocard driver's version, motherboard type (revision), OS type (version) and Tribe's settings?
Does your videocard sample have radiator and cooler attached to chip?
As I've seen here

this videocard may be shipped without'em.
Though this may be just a photo made before radiator was attached
Ugly, Erm. So I installed half-life..last night, and it wont run in opengl mode either..isnt that..just sad.
That looks..just about like my card.
Everything on my box is brand new..cept the mother board..
Can I drop the agp down a notch to see if that helps.

Hm...
Looks like u've missed something...
1.Could u specify your videocard driver's version, motherboard type (revision), OS type (version) and Tribe's settings?
2.Could u specify your videocard driver's version, motherboard type (revision), OS type (version) and Tribe's settings?
3.Could u specify your videocard driver's version, motherboard type (revision), OS type (version) and Tribe's settings?
4.Does your videocard sample have radiator and cooler attached to chip?
5.Does your videocard sample have radiator and cooler attached to chip?
6.Does your videocard sample have radiator and cooler attached to chip?

If your games run fine in d3d mode and refuse to work in opengl, this is certainly driver's problem (had the same one time). The simplest (not the fastest) way to solve this problem is 2 reinstall windows on clean hdd and install detonator again.

You know, whats odd that I found out was that it'll run..in opengl mode if I drop the agp memory down in the bios.

Hi,
I have been running Tribes using openGL on my TNT2 M64 card (creative TNT2 value) for about 1.5 years now. So far no problem, except occasionallly crashed during startup, which all my other friends who is using Geforce/etc running openGL experience too.
Try make sure you patch your tribes to latest version (1.10 I think).
Also, I am using detonator 3 ver6.31. AGP 2x with no side band addressing enabled.
Hope this bit of info useful to you.
Do you happen to overclock your TNT2 M64?
