I was thinking of switching to a Gigabyte GA-Z87-D3HP board with Intel i5 4460 haswell. Costing me $255 cause the board is on sale. How much performance increase would i see in games and how much performance difference in real life is there between my current setup and this setup. I play games at 1680x1050 as my monitor only supports that high. Thanks guys. I will be upgrading my videocard later on.

Any Intel would be a huge upgrade if your overclocking get a K rated cpu

yeah but my tower is not the greatest for cooling as my side fans are dying lol. I could overclock it as i know i can get good airflow. So i am assuming its a safe bet that intel system would blow my amd system out of the water?
