I have MSI 1057 notebook computer and I tried to use the touchpad instead of a mouse but tapping on the touchpad either on purpose or accidentally means that I click the left mouse button. I went into Control Panel and tried to use Mouse Properties but I couldn't find the option to disable tapping on touchpad. Any suggestions?

Look to see if the Synaptic software is installed. If not, you may want to install it. It will have much better control over the touchpad.

I downloaded and installed the Synaptic software but I can't find the option to disable or enable tapping on the touchpad. There's an option to disable or enable the buttons just below the touchpad.
