Hi I have a Diamond Viper 2 video card 32mb with S3 Savage chipset. Does anyone know the best driver I can get for this card? I have a lot of problems such as game crashing.

Depends on which version of windows you are using.
For windows 9x/ME, the newest drivers from S3(although they fix a few small problems for some) are by no means the fastest and are pretty much bug-fixing exercises. In my opinion the best driver is JGC's unified/tweaked driver set. It has quite good stability for most people and offers good performance.
If you are using Windows XP, I would definitely suggest getting the latest drivers from S3 Graphics. They are still quite buggy however and some still have crashes playing some games. However, its better than what comes with windows XP anyway and includes OpenGL support also.

This message was edited by Vincero on 06 May 2002 05:30 AM
