Yes, the race is over. Kingpin was the first to reach this clock with a single GPU. We waited few months, since ZOTAC announced that their card would reach such clocks, but they didn’t.

The first graphics card to reach such clock is EVGA GeForce GTX 680 Classified. Card is available for purchase since yesterday for $659.99. Thanks to EVGA’s cooperating with k|ngp|n (KingPin Cooling), by supplying him few samples earlier, he had some time to work with those samples and as a results he managed to overclock it beyond expectancy.

Card was overclocked to 2002 MHz with a voltage of 1.212. Altough GPU-Z shows different clocks, we have a prove of EVGA’s Precision X overclocking utility readings. With such clocks card has reached unimaginable 16472 points in 3DMark11 in Performance Preset. For this particular test he used Intel I7-3960X @ 5.5GHz and 16GB of GDDR5 memory. Card was cooled by Tek-9 FAN custom designed coolant containers, which were made for LN2 cooling. He did not post any pictures of the voltage-mods that were made to this card yet.

Wow...truely awesome. But is it possible to reach that level with normal water cooling?

I think what cowie is getting at is that the software isn't showing the true GPU voltage. 2 Ghz on 1.212v seems pretty unplausible.

Feckn eck.
The price is great too if they can get it to the UK for that + 20% VAT, making it a bit over £500.

but this is not the reference PCB or is anything on that board so any past voltages to base a start point are invalid .

FWIW he hasnt said its true voltage but if you know this card or take a second to use google you can know this much
"He's not Bs'ing, there isnt one mod on the card, only evbot for voltage. Oh yah and 1.2v is totally not correct. Its a bit higher

As for 1500 on water, I dunno that might be stretching it. Never tried water, only some nice cool air in the lab. 1400's I think tho with some extra juice.
Most average cards can prolly do on water what the best cards can do on air."

Fair enough, this article should point to the forums post he made and make it clear the true voltage is unknown but it is at least somewhere above 1.21 .
