Need help getting the Windows Store functioning again on 8.1. Have been able to straighten out the other errors like the BCM42RLY service error generated from the Netgear A6200 driver. Just cannot get the win store functionality back.

    Rig:
    APU: A10-7700K
    MB: ASUS A88X-PRO (bios 1401)
    RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengence (CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9R) @ 1866
PSU: Corsair TX650 (been around for ages and still kicking)

Wife insists on having the Amazon music player installed. After installing the player, the win store stops functioning; as soon as it opens...it closes. Only detail in event viewer is some java script dll is at fault. Have tried the powershell script to re-register the win store, sfc /scannow, and dism...restorehealth and startcomponetcleanup, refresh, reset and even a fresh re-installtion to no avail. Win store only breaks after the player is installed. Anything else left to try? Not a big deal, yet it is; cannot stand not having everything function as it should. Even tried Tweaking.com's "all-in-one" repair utility. All that accomplished was breaking PC Settings. That was at least easy to fix.

I don't use the Store, but what if you try to uninstall the Amazon music player, open the Store, leave it open then install the player?

I will give that a try the next time it stops functioning. Just came home from work. Wife said the pc crashed and then rebooted and ever since the store started functioning. Only thing in event viewer states that the pc rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. Nothing else, not even a warning with the same general time stamp. Was the only event today.

Will revive the thread just to let you know if that worked or not.

    Thanks for the suggestion.
