Yeah TressFx isn't all that optimized, so the game only uses it on the two main characters, not that many of the other NPC's even have hair in the first place though, heh.
(So aside from the character selection screen you only see it a few times per level when the other character appears as your scout - "gryphon" or was it "griffin" - but it looks nice.)

Will be interesting to see how Nvidia's hair effect will be when some more games are released with support for it, Witcher 3 primarily I suppose but there's probably others too.

...Wonder if TressFx would be in Ryse now that Crytek is bringing it to PC and AMD is supporting them, realistic barbarian chest hair...

Didn't find a way to remove the 30 FPS cap yet but I probably just missed it, pretty extensive list of options although you should go to advanced and check "Game quality" or what it was called and set it to "Full" or the game renders in either 720P, 900P or 1080P depending on what it's set to.

Plays like the previous Dead Rising games so far, seems they've tried for a more realistic visual style this time.

This screen looks very much like the end of the bridge that collapses in Crysis 2

 

Hmm when it comes to the visual quality the game reminds me more of a early UE3.5 title, the brownish washed out appearance and the overall appearance of the lighting and such details.
(Texture resolution is also pretty poor aside from the main character and story related NPC's.)

I guess the original X-Box One version looks worse though so this is probably a nice improvement though the game itself remains the same only with most (Not all.) DLC bundled together.

That's just the visual quality however, I'm having quite fun with the game so far just don't expect it to be too different from the previous Dead Rising games.


EDIT: Oh and I saw a post on Neogaf about how the game is pretty demanding, especially the larger zombie crowds which I agree with, when those are around framerate does take a hit if you play the game at 60 FPS.

What amazes me about this game, is that Ubisoft made a game about squad control, but managed to make it feel so un-intereactive at the sametime.

Performance still rubbish?
