edit: nevermind, I just googled it I think I will join the folding team here at guru xD cheers mates!!! i like this idea of curing disease while I sleep xD
can supercomputers fold? i wonder... even a 3 hour session of a supercomputer would outdo us all by like what, 1 year combining all 240,000 invidiual PC's... Bill Gates needs to help the folding world out, cure some cancer and stop it with this malaria ****. net it up holla malaria victims!
Depends on super computer. If it can run Linux and consists of x86 processors, then yes. In folding Labs they actually use super computers. Some [H]ardcore folders use 2P/4P system to fold bigAdv (projects that require minimum 16 cores or so). They get around 400,000 - 700,000 points per day with only 400 - 600W usage. Even [H]arder folders have a few such system... So they fold around 5M points per day.
