In our first article we review the GeForce GTX 770 from NVIDIA.It uses a familiar GPU though, yes the very same GPU as the GTX 680 uses. That makes it a chunk faster and pricing it aggressively this i...

The GTX 770 looks like it's a great overclocker, close to 1300MHz and memory at 7500MHz gave it a nice performance boost. Needs a bios flash for that power target though.

Nice card, but it's essentially 680 OCed with a higher VRAM OC ceiling.

Thats not a bad clock,to me its not great.
Out of 5 680's i had it is still not faster then the 1 ref. card i had (1350)but other were in 1250ish area.
If you have custom cards hardmod to up to 1.40 that will change things for the better.
(dont use ref 680 for hard mod thuo)

Great card but I'm afraid it's not that much of an upgrade from my 2x GTX570s. I can still play most games full gfx or near full GFX

3% in some review faster, and 5% on some other ( TPU, but they use low resolution in their average ( 1280 x1024 etc ).

The 770 is a bit cheaper, and even if i will not count it in the price the Ghz come with a 4 games bundle. so let say, same price.

I like the conclusion of Anandtech, its a tie.. ( 3% will move up and down depending the games you play the most or even by drivers difference ).

So Nvidia is really coming with the minimum, a card with the perf of the Ghz edition and the price of Ghz edition.

Was cheaper, nvidia have annonce a price decrease for the 680 and 670 today.

If you buy 2, it will, but for one, not really.

Ofc, why would Nvidia want to come out with something miles better than the 7970 Ghz when they already have the 780 out? They have given people wanting a top end card i.e. the best of the best in the 780, with the 770 the same price and slightly better than the 7970ghz edition they've rivaled the best ATI have out, and the 760ti i'm guessing will seal the deal for that price range, coming in at what i can guess is slightly higher than 670 speeds, for the price of a 660ti :D I was going to buy the Sapphire Vapor-x 7950, but now i'm really not so sure...

Hmm, I paid for my GTX 680 429 Euros 2 days after it's official launch. I can oc it to 1350/7500 (it runs 1300/7000 24/7) and thats with no vMods whatsoever...
Now they want for their atm fastest card in line 580 euros (as you can see I'm talking about available prices not nvidias prices which are obviously higher ;-) ) and for an OC'ed 680 380 euros more than a year after it's launch. No thank you nvidia it's not worth it. Maybe I'll get a second 680 if it drops to 250 euros or so.
This is the worst generation leap ever when you compare price/performance ratio and AMD is getting stronger with every released game. They now have SGSSAA in OpenGl + DX10+, no flickering AF anymore and great drivers for their GCN lineup. The only thing missing, and that is why I got the 680 instead of the 7970, is PHYSX which my not be a common feature but when it's there it really enchances the atmosphere.

@Poulter: WTF? They countered AMDs 7970 ghz you say? Nearly a year after it's release (June 2012)? With a new lineup (I admit it's the same architecture)? For the same price? LOL! I say wait a weak, the 7970 GHZ will be available for 100 euros less (it is already available for 50 less)...

In the OC page at the end for Bioshock Infinite you listed 1600x1200 instead of 1920x1200 and 1920x1200 instead of 2560x1600.

So you saying they'll be 100 euros/quid less than the 770 or 50 quid less than they are now? Sapphire Vapor-x ghz being about 360 atm, aka the same price as the 770 :D
EDIT: I'm not meaning to troll or anything, i'm wanting to buy a computer in about a week so i'm genuinely interested

outside memory speed, you have 680 2gb and 4gb with more performance of this 680 2.0 out since one year.. ( Evga FTW, Asus DCII, Zotac, MSI etc )..

True i know but i was looking for something around the 250 pound price mark, which is why i'm set on the 7950 atm, but if the prices drop i may be tempted, just wish i knew when the 760ti was coming out :(

No one's accusing you of trolling ;). But that's what I meant. I don't know where you come from but in Europe you can get a 7970 GHZ for 330 (that's an XFX with a very silent dual fan) and a 770 for 379. In a week or so when the 770 gets more available the prices for the 7970 will drop...

    Edit: I'm talking about Euros!

Nice review! Couple of things this tells me. My 680 @ 1215/7000 is faster than a stock 770 and really not far off from a GTX 780. I won't be upgrading for awhile, which is good considering the $500 price I paid at 680 launch.
