Rage

Go to the Nvidia Panel,find the profile for the Rage,and you have to select only one cuda core for that game,than you have to be fine to reactivate the options in the game menu for gpu transcode.

 

Yes, but I'm talking about Rage and his tech. I'm not impressed at all with JC job here. Only artistic team gets my admiration to save the look of the game. I think they could have done similar work with traditional texturing method. In fact, as a programmer, I've been a JC fan for many years. But lately I'm a little disappointed (Rage, BFG, and all that).

 

What's your view about Rage on consoles though?
Carmack admitted it was a mistake to not focus more on the PC version

He managed, with a lot of dedication, that both consoles could move through a giant data file quite fluently using a very small portion of memory. Somehow, he made an awesome video player for consoles. But he lacked the vision to realize that it was not what was needed at that time. Other more modest engines would be able to maintain 60 fps on consoles if they eliminate physics and dynamic shadows of the levels plus current effects as AO, DOF, etc.. Not to mention that even Rage dynamically reduces the resolution to maintain the frame rate. I think is not a real achivement. COD is a 60 fps game in consoles and everybody thinks that COD engine is outdated. But it's just my opinion.

I loved RAGE, and didn't have a single performance issue or problem with the game. More content is awesome news.

 

It's one of my favorites, just hope this one is better.

 

So maybe the SDK will show up after the sales of this DLC dry up.

Thanks Jonas for keeping us up to date on this information, its greatly appreciated! I only bought the game a few months ago and completed it soon after, despite the technical difficulties and the slight disappointment in graphics quality I loved playing the game and was very impressed! The only reason I was disappointed in the graphics quality was because of the initial hype surrounding the game, I just assumed it would be incredible. I did my best to tweak the game for better quality graphics and less technical issues and ended up with a very decent looking game with great game-play, great story, and minimal issues.

With that all said I am personally very excited about this new content and can't wait to give it another go, like many others I finished the game without finishing all the missions and exploring all the locations so this is the perfect opportunity to replay it!

 

Do u have any easy tweaks to make tha game look better?
