    We review the GeForce GTX 680 as expected and highly anticipated. Today the GeForce 680 sees the light and has been born, a product that has had many discussions and has seen many rumors. It's time to put an end to that and replace it with facts. The GeForce GTX 680 2GB is now a fact and selling in the stores as we speak.

    Today the first in a series of reviews, meet the GeForce GTX 680 right here.

    From this image shown on the Arctic Site i got the feeling there will be a Non-Stacked PCI-E Version of the 680.

    * Please ensure your graphic card does not come with a double deck power socket.

    For once, after the 8800GTX, I can say that NVIDIA has a clearly superior architecture with Kepler. The fact that it beats the 7970 with a smaller die size, memory interface and TDP shows the true potential. If NVIDIA lances a Kepler at the same size and TDP as the 7970, it will be miles ahead.

    My POV GTX 680 has just been despatched from Aria. Tomorrow just can't come soon enough. I'll run some final benchmarks on a number of games and demos on my GTX 580 using the new v301.10 drivers before I fit the new card over the weekend. At £420, it's a bit expensive (£40 more than my POV GTX 580 cost) but it looks like it should pay for itself over time as the performance is fantastic considering the lower power requirements.

    And you can probably sell ur GTX580 for a decent price if needed now that the prices haven't dropped yet.

    Can you do Battlefield 3 64player B2K benchmark? It's hard to do since the inconsistance of the MP part, but the multiplayer weighs so much heavier than the singleplayer. (particularly on the CPU though)

    @Hilbert Hagedoorn

    does the gtx680 still have the same anisotropic filtering pattern like the gtx470/480/570/580 (octagonal pattern) or is it like AMDs HD7970 all angle-independent anisotropic filtering (circular pattern)?

    Sorry guys, I don't play or like Battlefield 3 so that won't be one of the games I'll be testing.
