340.66 WHQL Quadro Release

7zip extracted just fine for me.

 

Universal Extractor is a little gem I find that will extract pretty much everything from .msi files to all the other stuff. Not a replacment for 7-zip or winrar, but a very handy tool to keep around especially if you like me dont like to install stuff unessecarily. One day, after I had my morning coffee, I will learn to spell you properly.

Why?

 

No fix for Age of Conan since first 337.xx and i tried out all drivers that were posted here.
That is very poor from Nvidia. A game with serversided physx wher you have to pay monthly more than 10 € or to pay for a year 100 € and this is not playable anymore with ****ing **** new drivers. I don't want to explane anymore. Its so like i posted in tread

And NO, i do not explain any things anymore. Its enough. Nvidia has to do much more work and not sticking finger in nose and other holes in body.

It takes about a week before GF WHQLs are out after a Quadro release right?

 

Literally, the only differences are GeForce experience, and the fact that you have to manually add 3dvision. SLI profiles are easier to obtain with Quadros.

 

Next driver is 343.XX, was released to linux week ago and manuael said it is the next driver, will contain a LOT of fixes.

 

Are you sure about that? They won't release some bull**** like 341.34 beta?

Well, Manuel did say there's a beta coming. Whether it's another R340 driver, or the promised R343 driver, that remains to be seen. Hopefully he'll answer this soon.

 

I saw that, but this Quadro is the same R340_00 while openGL r340_52, looks newer branch..

Will see if I have any issues with 340.65 later, but so far so good.

 

Oh, ok then. I didn't even notice the branch difference myself.

 

I presume so, the build dates are the same but it doesn't contain the Valley fix that the new Quadro driver does. I presume there are other fixes it doesn't contain as well.

 

Yup, I believe Manuel had stated something to that effect too. Quadro is the safer bet.

 

It either was on nVidia forum or on 340.52WHQL Guru forums, one of the pages.

Not sure if it 343, but linux 343 got released, it does not really matter because he said that one thing is certain, it contains a LOT of fixes.
