ONLY VOTE IF YOU PLAYED THE VIDEO IN 8K

Trying to work out why some people can, and some people can't play this video - it doesn't seem like a specs issue, starting to look like an OS issue

Reports are saying that guys who couldn't play it in 8.1 and 10, can play it under Linux, and guys on G3D running Win 7 can play it, but myself on 8.1 can not

Please vote, and post your specs below

I don't have a 8k option, just 4k is the max, and the audio plays but the video is green?

You were supposed to play it in 8k.

You need to watch it on youtube originally not through the embed or else it limits to 4k.

Opera initially shows 8k as an option, but selecting it reverts back to Auto / 480p, and the 8k option disappears

Only Chrome or Safari can play in 8k

I know I can't play it right now, I'm at work rocking a 6-8 year old workstation using intel graphics and a very poor "t1" line.:3eyes:

Nevermind, looks good! always pleasantly surprised.

Edit Edit... Well, I forgot to click the settings, 4k only. Rough day in the world of Brasky....:stewpid:

    Only have 4K option

But if you right click screen and select "stats for nerds" you will see the video is in 8K resolution at 7XXX x 4XXX.

I am on Windows 8.1 Pro X64 and after about 30 seconds the video goes green and the sound keeps playing then I try to skip to a new part and I get error message at the top of Chrome stating "Shockwave player has crashed".

    EDIT:

Also I have "Hardware Acceleration" turned off so right clicking and selecting "stats for nerds" stats "software encoding" is active. Maybe "Hardware Acceleration" will help.

    EDIT2:

Yep watching the video on youtube WITH 8K option it works flawlessly.

Here is a screen shot half way through the video to show it works and buffering fine.

    Chrome X64 latest build - Windows 8.1 Pro X64

    Hardware Acceleration is still disabled.

I've tried with HW/A enabled and disabled and 8k stutters badly with both in Chrome

Just tried the latest Chrome 64bit beta, and it plays way better, still not perfectly smooth, but only glitches for a ms every 5-8 seconds or so

So 32bit Chrome = terrible, 64bit Chrome, almost fine

works absolutly fine with a EVGA GTX980 SC ACX2.0 4GB in chrome. did not work in Firefox.

making my display 4k via DSR in windows. made the video play perfectly smooth.

when I ran it at 1080P it had pauses etc.
    totally weird.

I get green video if I try to play anything above 1080p. I'm running the latest versions (at the time of writing) of Firefox and Flash Player.
