Where we can talk about how all the best modern books are dystopian and we can look down upon the GoT circlejerkers because we've read ASOIAF already. :nerd:

What's a circlejerkers? I haven't read any of the Game of Thrones books. I read more crime fiction and space opera so I doubt I'd have much to contribute anyway...

Last two books I have read were Metro2033 and Metro2034. :)

Heh, I'm a die-hard dystopian fan, and asoiaf is the only exception.

I'm very much a fan of fantasy, and while I enjoy GoT there are better series out there. If anyone thinks GoT is particularly deep, I'd highly suggest picking up the Malazan Book of the Fallen series.

Personally speaking, I'm eagerly awaiting the next instalment of the The Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss. I absolutely loved the first two books. I'm really excited by the fact he's helping with the story of the upcoming Torment: Tides of Numenera.

Just started reading The Walking Dead. Picked up the completarium #1 and have read 1 of 8 books that are in it. And I need to find the Assassin's Creed books. Also almost done with the second book in the Divergent trilogy Insurgent.

Friendly advice. If you played the AC games with Ezio don't buy Renaissance, Brotherhood and Revelations because they are one of the worst kind of books. Literally copy and paste from the game script. All the same dialogues and nothing new. Buy them if you are a collector such as myself.
For the rest books are decent, even very good if never touched AC game.

To my shame it's been several months since I last read a book, still buying my history magazines but those don't count. One of the last ones I read was BioShock: Rapture, pretty neat little novel if you are into the Bioshock universe, and at that time I was replaying all the games as well. :nerd:

Any awesome fantasy books you can recommend? Except Asoiaf of course, I heard good things about the Blade itself (First Law), never got arround getting it though.

    Discworld series.

    Satire fantasy, sometimes funny.

The last book I read was A Dance with Dragons. So it's been quite a while since i've read anything.

Just finished World War Z, and its still not better than the Newsflesh trilogy. Now I'm reading the first book of the Uglies series, and so far I'm not that impressed.

Adaptations have a tendency to be sh*tty, excluding the Metro or Halo series ofc.

Heh, I was speaking of adaptations in general. The Metro game series is an adaptation of those books. Metro 2033 happens to be my favorite singleplayer fps game. :)
