I am looking at 22" monitors for my new build this fall. I am contemplating getting the HP 22" monitor with HDMI. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824176091)

My question is weather 1680 x 1050 is a supported resolution in HDMI. It seems like I saw in an ATI video card review that it is not supported as an HDMI resolution, instead it jumps to 1920 x 1200.

Will I be able to run the full 1680 x 1050 resolution with HDMI and an ATI card?

    I use DVI/HDMI and 1680x1050 works fine.

you said "dvi/hdmi" meaning you use both, or meaning you have a dvi to hdmi cable?

I dont think there is a limit from a pc. I'm using 1920x1200 on dvi>hdmi

If you look at the link you'll see that with the current ATI drivers, there is a gap in resolutions via HDMI. 1680x1050 is not listed there.

Also, I'm talking about a straight hdmi-hdmi cable. not dvi>hdmi
