I'd like to know what LCD TV you own , over what choice and why !

Like I shifted from a Sony for a Samsung..because they're cheap , easier to sell off , better with overscan issues, better SD upscaling (in my view)
PC , did look a tad bit sharper on the Sony , even though my Sony V was a year older then my Samsung R..
I'm thinking of getting the Samsung A650 (50000 CR)
But dont know weather to pluck that out from the market or the Samsung F71(71 known in America) (F81 known in Asia)
Which happens to have 25000 CR

I've seen and used the F71 and loved it alot alot..was simply stunning !

I'm stuck picking either the F71 or the A650..

Ur views and stories are more then welcome...

The F71 is 4 or 5 generations old now.. I seem to remember that had some dodgy deinterlacing problems and couldn't take a proper 1080p signal. It would take 1080p then process it as 1080i then deinterlace it again. Which results in some image snafus. . But that was one of the first 1080p TVs and loads of sets did that back then.

    Dodgy is dangerous...eEKK
Because the only part I could tell it's 1080p wasn't super , was when I hooked it to my PC..
Movies were stunning but desktop fonts and text seemed alittle on the blury side.. (I figured my settings were off)
I should push for the A650 then , only if I can some how have them ship it for me..

I was expecting the F71's 1080p thing to be most mature , since it just came out around december 2007 !
    After the M (1080p) Series..

    hMm..

I guess going safe , should be going A650 !

If anyone of u guys have tried or used both , let me know, it's most important..

No the F71 came before the M86.. the F86 out after the M86. The F71 doesn't have 1:1 pixel mapping.

If you can get a new A656 then definitly go for it. This site has the best TV reviews I've seen on the internet. They have all the models..

    If I'm not mistaken..

The Samsung F86 (U.S) , is the Samsung F81 (Asia)

I hate it when they use different model numbers..

Had the choice of a 26" Bravia and a 32" Samsung last Spring (the latest models). The Sony was £589 the Samsung was £500 I chose the Sony because it has a much better image for PC use and it also had 2 HDMI ports instead of 1. I also prefer HD/Blu Ray on the Sony, I think it looks sharper than the Samsung. It was bought for a medium size room so 26" seemed right.

I'm going to be upgrading to a 37" or 40" soon and I would only consider buying a Sony, Samsung or Panasonic, the latter 2 in favour because they offer much more bang for buck than the great, but over priced Sony's.

I went for the bravia 40" W2000. I connect my media centre via DVI-HDMI and looks amazing in 1080p. I am very happy with it and have had it for 7-8 months. €1300
