That's proclaimed to be up to tens of gigabits per second ! Samsung Electronics Corporation has developed the next generation wireless technology, it was announced today. Samsung has developed the c... Samsung to Offer 5G Service by 2020
I would still love to know the logic behind this. Why on earth would you ever need 5G? Maybe by 2020 it will be relevant, but I kind of doubt it.
I just wonder how much heat would the phones be generating using such high frequencies*. Also a bit concerned about the range. *) and no, I'm not talking about the CPU or SoC's frequency.
I'm sorry I just don't see it. If you want to do anything worth using 5G, you'll eat up your whole data amount in a matter of moments. I'm just not a big data user so I guess I don't get it, but I don't see the point unless the data caps are raised substantially.
