    Hey there,

I got me a second hand HP stream 13 for a very low price. I am using it for college (programming in notepad++, matlab, etc.). It is fine for this job - 13.3" is a good screen size, battery life is just great, it is fairly light to be carried in my backpack.

    specs:
    - celeron N3050 1.6Ghz (no upgrade option)
    - 2GB ram (no upgrade option)
    - 32GB SSD (no upgrade option, 100MB read, write is lower)
    - microsd slot (right now i have some slow 16GB card just for backup)

I wanted to use windows 8.1 since i know how to tweak it up, but sadly hp only has drivers for windows 10. I already did a bit of tweaking but there is always room for more. I am looking for some usefull tweaks i could do to speed up this weak computer. Mostly for browsing (im using chrome) but general usage could use a bump also. I already disabled things like onedrive, windows defender, etc.

I would understand if you wanted to go W7, but W8? :p

W10 is better than W8, so I'd say just keep that.

Well before this HP stream 13, i had acer 725 which had a weaker cpu then stream. It had C70 1Ghz apu. And yet it was a lot quicker. I kindof got used to windows 8.1, i always install classic shell to get rid of that horrible start screen and after that it is similar to windows 7 :)
