    Title says it all really.

    I'm looking to upgrade my 670 soon/soonish.

I do not want to be spending hard earned cash at top prices just before the market shifts and the next wave of architecture/tech releases.
I've been stung before buying mid to high end range cards a couple of months before they drop in price.

What's the word on the next gear from nVidia ?

    2015 Q1 ? Q2 etc ?

I'm happy to keep my current card but I am itching at the bit to upgrade.

The internet rumor mill will tell you as much as anyone else knows here. Here's some of the latest rumors: http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=391187

Its generally a good idea to upgrade no sooner than every 2 years from high end to high end. Typically, the performance delta of GPUs nearly double every couple generations. That said, a GTX 870 should almost be twice the power of your GTX 670.
