I have been wanting to sell my EVGA GeForce GTX 680 Superclocked Signature 2GB, for quite awhile now. A guy just sold the same model on Ebay for a little more than 400 US dollars. I have also seen them for sale on other sites for 400 and up. My question is WHY?? I don't see why anyone would buy this model for that price when you can get something better for less. The only thing I can think of is there are still people who want one for SLi. Any ideas why they sell for this amount?

This is the card I have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130779

I wouldn't ask more than £100 for one. If anything, I'd give it away for free, but that's just me.

Sometimes I feel better giving stuff away than making a hundred quid. I'm not rich btw but money is just that. It doesn't make you happy. I gave away 2x 7950 on here. This was when they were still worth something. I didn't need them. So I gave them away.

In fact, I think when I upgrade my cpu, I'll give away my cpu, mobo and ram on here. I feel like I'm giving back to the community that has been quite the part of my life the past 10 years.

I sold 2 evga ftw 4gb for $250 and $300 but that was well over a year ago. Maybe $150-200 max now if that much.

This is the exact reason I have a R9 290.
I paid $242 for it with shipping. Every damn GTX 680 2gb was $200+ used on ebay or craigslist. And refrence gtx 780 3GB were all over $300.

Nvidia cards are a bit over priced on the average. Even GTX 660 2gbs on average are above $120 even on craigslist.

They're worth about $180 and no more. Still a great card for that cost, though. Especially if you consider what the 770 was selling for just a few months ago.

I don't know where you're finding them at that price, to be honest. Probably just ignorant people that don't realize tech advances. If you check places like Overclock.net, you should be able to find them at a reasonable price.

To be honest, I'm surprised to see this card still is worth over $150... I would have expected double digit numbers tbh. Seems like my card (580 3GB) might still be worth a bit too, I've seen two of them (I presume SLI setup) on sale locally for €200.

I've been looking for a used GTX 680 4GB and everyone wants $300 USD. It's ridiculous. I paid $250 for my GTX 680 4GB and that came with the original packaging and an un-used game code as well.

The 2GB models I see for roughly $200-220.

I've given up on looking for a used GTX 680 4GB to do an SLI setup with because everyone wants way too much money.

You can buy a brand new 770 in the UK for £150, 680's aren't worth a lot now.
